Mission Trips

Want to do something completely different for 2 weeks of your life? Want to be part of a life-transforming programme, visit a stunning and safe country in Southern Africa, work to help the most underprivileged in society, be part of a large orphan and vulnerable children’s project and enjoy a safari in Kruger National Park?

Challenge Ministries run four Mission Impact trips a year from the UK to beautiful Eswatini, which are open to anybody, including families and which offer an amazing opportunity to see and be part of the incredible life-changing work we do across Eswatini in our various centres.

Our teams are normally around 12-people, are led by an experienced leader from the UK and include all flights, ground transportation, accommodation, food, activities, travel insurance and a safari are included.

Have you have ever thought about going on a mission impact trip, to see and take part in the work being done in Eswatini by Challenge Ministries then have a look at this vlog made in (2019) by Summer and Jenna.

Travel and accommodation

We fly from London to Johannesburg and use high-quality air-conditioned minibuses to transport you to Eswatini, which takes around 5-hours.

You will be based in two locations, both of which have comfortable good-quality accommodation, with all meals cooked by our staff to excellent western standards. We can also cater for most dietary requirements.

Get Involved

Most trips involve 6-nights in our centre in Hawane, near the capital Mbabane and 6-nights in Bulembu, in the north west region, where a whole town is run by the ministry to provide a large childcare and education programme.

We also spend one-night in a very rural in-community by-community project helping and meeting the local people, often in their homes. Accommodation at these locations is more Spartan, but clean, safe with showers and flushing toilets and often if the weather is good, we offer the opportunity to sleep under the African stars.

See Africa

You also get to visit Eswatini’s Cultural Centre to understand their traditions and lives.

At the end of the trip we take you on a 2-day/one-night trip to Kruger National Park, where you stay in high-quality accommodation and do two (sunset and sunrise) ranger-led 3-hour games drives in open vehicles.
